I haven’t had any disruptions in the work that I do. Theology is the study of revelation. Fundamental theology is the study of the reason to believe in revelation, and that is what I do. I don’t have disruptions because it is a private thing I do on my own — I am just preaching the gospel. What are two key behaviors/personality traits that allow you to be effective in your role? Being very rational, logical and knowing all there is to know. What is the most important issue/challenge you are dealing with in your industry? There are so many people who don’t understand fundamental theology, even religious people. They think intelligent design is a good theory, but they don’t understand that faith is a gift and a decision from God — they think it is rational to believe. It doesn’t have to do with rationality, it has to do with being responsible. A lot of people don’t understand it, even Catholics. What innovations or technologies do you feel will shape the future of your industry? I think the internet is great and I am using it to get ideas. I have only had a few publications. Most of what I do is by email. What excites you the most about your industry? That I am giving people reasons to believe. Believing in God makes life good and meaningful. It’s good because you go to heaven afterward and it’s meaningful because your purpose in life is to get to heaven. I am giving people reasons to believe this.
