We have had a lot of disruptions with the pandemic. We had to take many precautions, especially with any sellers or clients we had that were older or at a higher risk of the virus. We had to screen people before they came in and asked clients to bring their agent and the buyer — no extended family members. We did a lot of web-based work, as well. We were already heading in that direction, where so much more of the transaction was done over the internet, and the virus accelerated that process. Texas made some additional changes, in terms of doing closings remotely rather than in person. Everything has become digital, so we had to adapt. In real estate, everyone is trying to achieve something different, so you not only have to be a good listener, but you also have to be able to adapt to others and what they are trying to achieve.
