The company is well-regarded for its consulting and project leadership services, which include supervision for installing, commissioning, operating and repairing marine and stationary industrial engines and their control systems. In his leadership role, Mr. Holmgren handles business operations, as well as project management and technical decision-making. In addition, he supervises engine repairs performed by client staff, troubleshoots engine systems issues and trains facility personnel. During the early stages of his industrial engine career, Mr. Holmgren gained valuable experience as an engineer with the U.S. Merchant Marines, a field engineer for Advanced Engine Technologies and Vronay Engineering Services and an adjunct instructor of diesel engineering for California Maritime Academy. Several times in his career, Mr. Holmgren participated in other ventures to gain exposure and develop skills to contribute to improvements as an engineer and develop an understanding of his role in the professional world. These ventures include experience as a research and development manager for Fogarty Research and pursuing an advanced degree in social science. During this time, Mr. Holmgren always maintained ties to the industrial engine world by consulting or working on seagoing vessels. He also dedicated himself to his country as an officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve. Driven to remain aware of changes in the field, Mr. Holmgren aligns himself with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, and the San Francisco Port Engineers Society. Before embarking on his professional journey, he earned a Bachelor of Science in marine engineering technology from California Maritime Academy. After eight years in the industry, he returned to pursue a Master of Arts in sociology from Loyola University Chicago. Following the attainment of his degree, Mr. Holmgren taught sociology for several years at universities in the Chicago area while working summers as a seagoing engineer. My focus is on quality and delivering success for the customers. For us, it’s all about resolving projects and maintaining our focus.
