Sixth Edition Marquis Who’s Who INSIGHT 25 RALPH T. RUSSELL Probate Judge Baldwin County Foley, AL https://milestones.marquiswhoswho. com/milestone/ralph-russell/ How have you navigated disruptions in your industry to remain a top professional? I just tried to be the best judge I could be and do what was fair based on the Constitution and our laws. What is the most important issue/challenge you are dealing with in your industry? Every day, there is another election issue. It saddens me to see what election officials have to go through. How do you feel your industry has changed/evolved? I think the judicial system is the slowest to change, which is the way it should be because it’s based on case law, experience, rules and the Constitution. What innovations or technologies do you feel will shape the future of your industry? The continued availability of information through electronic means is important to me. Along with that, though, is the responsibility of anyone to do proper research to be sure what they read is truthful and established in the law. DAN SHETLER President, Owner Mifflintown Equipment Rental, LLC Mifflintown, PA https://www.mifflintownrental.com/ How have you navigated disruptions in your industry to remain a top professional? I have to give credit to whom it’s due; nobody ever did this alone. I have good employees, and I surround myself with people of integrity. My employees are bornagain Christians; they have the same values, so as a team, we navigate the challenges that face us. Treating people with honor, respect and kindness, and offering them what’s promised, is the best policy. What excites you the most about your industry? It’s not just about money – it’s about service to the community and building relationships. After I’m gone, the young men running the company for me will go down the same path. I can leave for a month and return, but nothing is upside-down. ALFONSO T. STRONG English Language Arts Teacher Brooklyn Laboratory Charter School The Bronx, NY https://www.linkedin.com/in/alfonso-strong-4bb8a884 How have you navigated disruptions in your industry to remain a top professional? It’s all about adapting with time. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I had to pivot quickly and learn how to teach virtually with online classes. Initially, I thought I wasn’t going to make it, but I adjusted, adapted and worked with the other teachers. In that regard, I am really proud. What is the most important issue/ challenge you are dealing with in your industry? For me, getting students to read is always challenging because I am learning that, especially during the pandemic, students are two or three grade levels behind. I have to adapt and really learn how to best navigate student deficiencies and disengagement with literature. What excites you the most about your industry? The students. Every day, they give me a sense of purpose because I have an opportunity to make their lives better each day.
