24 Sixth Edition Marquis Who’s Who INSIGHT DAVID E. MILLER, PHD Professor Emeritus of Physics The Pennsylvania State University, Hazleton Conyngham, PA marquismillennium.com/7thEd/DMiller/81 What is the most important issue/ challenge you are dealing with in your industry? The demands of research react to the present day, which is important. For example, someone working in biophysics realized certain types of viruses react to certain structures and evolve, and they had to learn how to contradict that in the human body while developing the Pfizer vaccine for COVID-19. What innovations or technologies do you feel will shape the future of your industry? There are many telling things, some of which relate to medicine. Some aspects of the medical field have developed way beyond the ordinary advancement. As an example, no one expected that we would have the ability to create effective vaccines and procedures in such a short time. DR. EMILY MOORE Physical Education Teacher Ulysses Byas Elementary School Founder, Executive Director Alliance Junior Development Program Inc. Roosevelt, NY whoswhonewsletters. com/2023/01/04/emily-moore-2/ What innovations or technologies do you feel will shape the future of your industry? Children should have a foundation and basic skills. We are the most technologically advanced country in the world, but when I traveled around the world, I met kids in elementary and high school who could speak three or four languages, and they weren’t afraid of math and science — they were hungry for knowledge. That is the key thing. What excites you the most about your industry? Seeing the growth and development of children and young students. Being a teacher allowed me to demonstrate by example that there is nothing easy in this game of life — it is what you make of it. When others worked with me, we would do so many great things in this classroom. FRANCIS H. NYAMOR Owner JD Automotive Service Fort Worth, TX jdphenomenalsandmore.com/ How do you feel your industry has changed/evolved? It has evolved quite a bit. The industry is getting more technical. We used to have vehicle inspections where the mechanics would tell customers what was going on with their vehicles, but now, with newer technology, we don’t have to physically be in the garage — we can just send videos or pictures to the customers. What innovations or technologies do you feel will shape the future of your industry? Electric vehicles are going to dominate the market, especially now with the gas prices rising so high. What excites you the most about your industry? The satisfaction of my customers when jobs get done.
