Throughout his tenure at the Santa Clara County District Attorney's office, Mr. Galli held several key positions, including as the assistant unit leader of the Felony Narcotics Unit between 1986 and 1989 and again from 2008 to 2010. He served as the first supervisor of the newly created felony drug asset forfeiture unit from 1989 to 1994 and managed a multi-agency federal grant during that period. He also excelled as the supervisor of the Welfare Fraud Unit between 1998 and 2001. His commitment to justice and legal excellence culminated in his retirement as a deputy district attorney in 2021, although he continues to teach and advise law enforcement on Fourth Amendment issues. Mr. Galli's academic background included earning an Associate of Arts in history, with honors, from Foothill Community College in 1978. He also achieved a Bachelor of Arts in political science and government, cum laude, from the University of San Francisco in 1980 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Santa Clara University in 1983.
