Insight 7th Ed_Fall_Jillian Bergeron

Seventh Edition Marquis Who’s Who INSIGHT 15 INSIGHT MARQUIS WHO′S WHO SEVENTH EDITION FALL 2024 In the coming years, Ms. Bergeron aims to obtain a coaching certification and Shamanic master’s certificate, with a particular focus on helping underserved women. In this regard, she has further remained involved with civic initiatives by partnering with a local scientist to apply her inventions to aesthetic rooms, rendering them clean, accessible and antimicrobial. Likewise, Ms. Bergeron desires to collaborate with an electrical engineer to foster new methods to use less electricity. How have you navigated disruptions in your industry to remain a top professional? I’ve consistently pursued continuing education and advanced training, reading about new modalities from aesthetic magazines available in the market, and attending seminars. I even attended plastic surgeons’ seminars, where I learned a lot. What are two key behaviors/personality traits that allow you to be effective in your role? I'm gentle when I perform my aesthetics. It’s all about patience and knowing how to do the modalities perfectly. I would never do a modality on a client that I did not practice for at least six months. What is the most important issue/challenge you are dealing with in your industry? I think the industry isn’t searched enough. Anybody can call themselves an aesthetician, and I think it's a slap in the face to us master aestheticians having gone through lots of continuing education, obtaining our licenses and having to renew our licenses. How do you feel your industry has changed/evolved? It has become much more medical and detailed. Currently, I’m teamed up with a medical professional. I’m learning the medical side, which is fun. What innovations or technologies do you feel will shape the future of your industry? I think the ingredients in skincare are ever-evolving. They're getting better and better at anti-aging and anti-acne. They're clearing skincare problems up faster and more gently. The technology and equipment are far superior to what we had when we started out. Also, I think more people are trusting and becoming more interested in caring for their skin. In the very beginning of aesthetics, people thought it was something only wealthy people did when it was actually for everybody. Now, more people are interested in caring for themselves and wanting to be healthy. What excites you the most about your industry? It’s exciting to learn about all the new modalities and products and to see results with my patients.
