I never overreacted. There have been a lot of hardships; there's no question there. However, you just can't overreact. There are things out of your control that you just can't worry about; you have to worry about what you do have control over. With other things, you have to roll with the punches and keep moving forward. Here, our motto is “Go big or go home.” So, let's just go big. It's not always easy, but that's what we strive for. What is the most important issue/challenge you are dealing with in your industry? We're trying to get new clients – as are our competitors. There are more competitors than ever. Many have closed over the last few years, but the ones that survived are moving on the pricing. It's kind of like a desperation move for a lot of our competitors now, and our clients know it. How do you feel your industry has changed/evolved? Since the beginning, a lot of companies just wanted somebody to get in the door. Now, they want someone more skilled, or, at the very minimum, oriented and pretty much prepared to work. When I first started in the industry, they just wanted somebody; they didn't care. They would say, “Just get them through the door and we'll take care of it from there.” Now, clients are looking for more services from us. We have on-site staff, and a lot of our clients are round-the-clock, 24/7, seven days a week. We actually have staff at our clients' companies checking people in and making sure they are on the line getting them working. We are partnering with our clients more than ever before. Before, it was just logging people in the door. What innovations or technologies do you feel will shape the future of your industry? Not so much artificial intelligence, but automation is shaping the future of the industry. We do different kinds of timekeeping, where you can actually see when people are walking in and out the door. You can clock people in and out at an exact time. It's nice for the payroll and payroll processing part of things.
