Beginning as a mason tender in 1976, he quickly advanced to mason, then foreman at Gonzalez Masonry. In 1982, seeking new challenges, he transitioned into carpentry with Delevan Custom Homes, honing his craft as a carpenter before becoming a construction supervisor in 1986. Mr. Stockell’s hands-on experience in masonry, carpentry and construction supervision laid the foundation for his success in construction management. As the leader of Stockell General Contracting Inc., he now oversees all facets of the business. His ability to merge technical skills with strategic oversight ensures the company’s continued growth and excellence in the industry. Mr. Stockell's commitment to continuous learning is reflected in his academic pursuits and certifications. He completed coursework at both the University of Missouri-Saint Louis and St. Louis Community College. His professional credentials include Building Analyst Professional with the Building Performance Institute Inc. and a LEED-Accredited Professional with the U.S. Green Building Council. Additionally, he secured the Master Certified Green Professional designation from the National Association of Home Builders. Mr. Stockell is an active member of the Home Builders Association of St. Louis and Eastern Missouri and participates in the Zero Energy Ready Home Program by the U.S. Department of Energy. His signature approach to forward-looking craftsmanship has been acknowledged with the Innovation Award from the Department of Energy, along with several regional accolades.
